Back to the Basics: Repentance

Continuing on the subject of getting back to the basics and salvation, we discuss repentance.  A quick look at the scriptures we can see that a message of repentance was delivered by John the Baptist (Matthew‬ ‭3:1-2‬), Jesus (Matthew‬ ‭4:17‬), and Peter (Acts‬ ‭3:19‬). But what does repentance really mean? What are the results of repentance? The final — yet the most important — question is: Have you repented?

Missions Sunday

Missions Sunday is the one Sunday each month where we remember that the world in which we live is much bigger than what we encounter in our daily lives and that Jesus has called us to be a part of what He is doing throughout the world.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.””
‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭1:8‬ (‭NLT‬‬)

A Thorn in the Flesh

Reference text: ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭12:2-9‬ ‭

Are you currently experiencing a ‘thorn in the flesh’?  If so, how are you responding to your ‘thorn’ and are you open to how God may choose to respond to your cries for help? Remember, God’s grace is Him favoring us with His presence, love, help, power, and enablement.
